Scheduling for the week ahead

Bring the people, available days and staffing decisions together before sharing the final roster. ShiftKumo suits teams that plan around morning and evening shifts.

Restaurants and cafés

Prepare an opening and evening rota from the days each person can work. Review uncovered shifts before the week begins, and compare the planned hours of each member when making adjustments. The manager remains responsible for assigning the right skills to each shift.

Shops and customer service desks

Make a weekly staffing outline for a small shop or service counter. Check which days have fewer available people, adjust individual assignments and use the cost estimate when reviewing the week’s staffing plan.

Managers who distribute a roster file

Keep a working schedule in one browser and export a CSV for review in a spreadsheet or distribution through your usual communication channel. Choose when to share the file and tell colleagues which saved version is current.

A practical toolkit for weekly scheduling

Work from your own team information and review the result at each stage. The planner combines six everyday scheduling tasks in one page.

Team and daily availability

Add 1–30 people with distinct names and individual hourly rates. For every day, choose morning, evening, either shift or unavailable. These inputs give the draft a consistent starting point and make it easier to see which choices are possible.

Automatic weekly draft

Generate assignments for two daily shifts: 07:00–15:00 and 15:00–23:00. The planner targets two people per shift, limits each person to five shifts and avoids an evening immediately followed by the next morning. Unfilled positions remain visible for review.

Manual review and adjustments

Use the AM and PM buttons in the roster to add or remove an assignment. Unavailable choices are disabled, and the five-shift and next-morning constraints are checked when editing. Review the coverage indicator after each change rather than assuming the first draft is final.

Planned hours and labor costs

See scheduled hours for each person and the week’s total. The estimate multiplies assigned eight-hour shifts by the hourly rates you enter. Select USD or JPY as the cost currency; enter rates in that currency because changing the label does not convert values.

Save your working roster

Choose Save on this browser to keep the current team, schedule and cost currency locally. Reloading the same browser can restore that saved work. Saving is explicit, so save again after changes you want to keep and export a copy for your own records.

CSV for review and sharing

Export the entered names, assignments, scheduled hours and cost information in a CSV file. Open it in a compatible spreadsheet to review or share it through your own channels. The output describes the planned roster; it is not a clock-in record or a payroll calculation.

From availability to a roster you can share

Follow the same short review process each week. Keep the final staffing decision with the person who understands the team and its workplace requirements.

1. Enter and apply your team

Fill in each name, hourly rate and seven days of availability. Select Apply team when the inputs are ready. Applying edited team information clears the previous draft, so save or export any schedule you need before replacing it.

2. Create a first draft

Select Auto-schedule to build the week from the applied team. The result gives you a starting roster within the planner’s fixed shift pattern, using the available people rather than filling empty positions with invented staff.

3. Check coverage and hours

Look at the coverage percentage and each person’s planned hours. A gap can mean there are too few available people for that shift. Confirm the necessary staffing and skills yourself, including any breaks or local working-time requirements.

4. Adjust the assignments

Select AM or PM in an available cell to change an assignment, then review the new totals. For a different team input, update availability and apply the team again before creating another draft. The schedule remains under your control.

5. Save or export the final roster

Save the current work in this browser for the next visit, then export CSV when it is ready to distribute. Use your normal communication channel to share it, and communicate later changes so everyone works from the same version.

Weekly planner

Build your own week

Build a roster with your own team, review the coverage and cost totals, and adjust individual assignments before saving or exporting. The planner below uses the same morning and evening shift pattern described above.

Enter your team to begin. Nothing is uploaded.

This is a local planning aid. It does not check all labor laws, breaks, overtime premiums, skills or payroll. Review the result before use. Cloud accounts, team invitations, time clocks and shared workspaces are not provided.

English & 日本語

Read the interface and product policies in English or Japanese. A roster saved in this browser can be restored after switching languages on the same site. CSV column names stay consistent across both languages, making the exported file easier to use in an established spreadsheet workflow. Share the exported file through your own team channels.

Your roster stays under your control

Understand where your scheduling information is handled and choose how you retain the work.

Calculations on your device

Names, availability, hourly rates and roster calculations are processed in this browser. Planner inputs are not uploaded to a scheduling server. Use a current browser with JavaScript enabled and review the schedule before putting it into use.

Local saving and exported copies

Save stores the roster in this browser, not in a synced team account. Clearing browser data can remove it, and another browser or device does not receive it automatically. Export a copy when needed and use Clear saved data on shared devices.

Support is a separate channel

Messages you send by email, chat or the feedback form go to the support services described in our Privacy Policy. Send only the details needed for your question. Roster export files remain under your control unless you choose to share them.

Answers before you build your week

Find the practical details of the planner, its output and the paid plans in one place.

How large a team can I enter?

The weekly planner accepts 1–30 people. Give each person a distinct name so assignments and exported rows are easy to identify. Enter availability for each day, then apply the team before scheduling. Team size is a planner limit, not a per-person price.

Which shift times does the planner use?

The current shift pattern is 07:00–15:00 and 15:00–23:00, eight hours each. Use it for teams whose planning fits that pattern. The planner targets two people in each shift. It does not configure different shift lengths, skills or location-specific staffing requirements.

Why can the automatic draft leave gaps?

Available people may not be enough to cover every shift while respecting the five-shift limit and evening-to-next-morning restriction. Check the open positions and each person’s availability. The draft does not guarantee complete coverage or compliance with every workplace rule.

How is the labor cost estimate calculated?

Each assigned shift contributes eight scheduled hours multiplied by that person’s entered hourly rate. USD and JPY are labels for the rates you supply, with no exchange conversion. Taxes, overtime premiums, breaks and other payroll adjustments are not calculated.

Will the schedule return after I close the page?

Choose Save on this browser before leaving. The saved team and roster can be restored on the same site in that browser while its storage remains available. Unsaved edits, cleared storage or switching devices can mean the work is not restored. Keep a CSV copy where appropriate.

Can my staff see updates automatically?

Share the exported CSV using your own communication tools. The browser planner does not send team notifications or provide a shared live workspace. If you revise the roster, export and distribute the updated file so staff receive the version you intend.

Is ShiftKumo a paid product?

Yes. Choose monthly, quarterly, annual, two-year or three-year subscription pricing in USD or JPY. The price shown is the total for that billing period. Review the pricing page and selected plan details, or email support for purchase questions.

How do I apply for the 30-day refund?

Email support@shiftkumo.com within 30 calendar days of the relevant charge. The guarantee covers initial and renewal payments in full without deducting days used. Include enough payment information to locate the charge and read the full policy. Do not send your full card details.

Who operates ShiftKumo and handles questions?

ShiftKumo is operated by AVERCYN GLOBAL INC at 1660 LINCOLN STREET, DENVER, CO 80264, USA. Contact support@shiftkumo.com for product or billing questions. The About page and Contact page provide our business and contact information.
